An honors graduate of both the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Biology and the University of Tennessee at Memphis College of Dentistry, Dr. O'Neal received his general practice training at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His oral surgery residency was performed at the Medical College of Georgia. During his graduate studies at University of Tennessee, Dr. O'Neal was honored with induction to both the Richard Doggett Dean Odontological Honor |

| Society and the National Honorary Dental Society. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate to the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. O'Neal is married and has two children, and is a member of the Our Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Augusta. |
