An alumnus of Oxford College of Emory University and Emory University School of Dentistry, he received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Medical College of Georgia. He has an academic appointment as Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Diplomate to the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a member of the International Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and member of the |

| American Dental Association. He is the past president of University Hospital Medical Staff. He also serves as chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and coordinates resident training at University Hospital. He is active in research, writing and lecturing on the subjects of Cleft Palate and TMJ Disorders. Dr. Neal is married and has two children. He is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Augusta. |
